Hindus who walk around the 32-mile circumference of Mount Kailash use the term parikrama. They believe that lord Shiva, one of their three main gods, resides atop what they call Mount Meru . Tibetans refer to the clockwise circumambulation as a kora. Both words mean the same thing pilgrimage. It is believed that doing a walk around the mountain can take away your all sins.

Mansarovar Lake

Man Sarovar is a holy lake which lies on the way to Mount Kailash . It seems very beautiful on the high altitude of Tibet . You can either encircle it or take a bath when you reach there.
Mt. Kailash is also an important religious center for Jains as well. They call this mountain Mt. Ashtapada. According to their religion, this is the place where the great sage Rishabhadeva, the founder of Jain religion, attained nirvana, here on the peak of Mt. Ashtapada.
