Annapurna Panorama Trekking

Annapurna panorama trekking is a model trek for those who prefer to do a week long trek in a comfortable trail with enjoying finest mountain sceneries. This trek starts after one hour’s drive from Pokhara and then ascends through the hill village after crossing the suspension bridge at Modikhola River. Then we walk past several waterfalls, streams and dense forests before reaching Ghorepani. We climb the famous Poon hill in the next morning. We further trek to Tadapani, a great mountain viewpoint in the mid of the beautiful forest ridge and then we arrive at Gurung village of Ghandruk. In the last stretch of the trek, we go through the Landruk and Pothana and the trek ends at Phedi.

Annapurna Panorama Trek is moderate and can be done throughout the year  including the summer. The normal hour of walking is 4 to 6 hours each day and the possible highest point is 3200m. Therefore, there is no risk of any altitude sickness.

Those who are traveling with children can also enjoy this trek. It is very comfortable to sleep and eat at mountain lodges named tea houses and the porter carries your luggage. Throughout the route, it offers grand spectacles of blooming rhododendron flowers in March and April.

The view from Ghorepani and Poon Hill above is one of the best on the Annapurna panorama Trek. The Himalayan chain between Dhauligiri and Manaslu can be clearly seen on a fine day. Many people ascend Poon Hill in the morning before to get a good view of the mountains. However the view of Machhupuchhare is disappointing in the morning as the sun rises behind it. The view of Dhaulagiri with the rising sun shining on it is magnificent. On a clear evening, the view of Machhupuchhare from here would be magnificent
